Why not explore the city with Cork Walks self guided walking tours - a great way to get some fresh air and exercise while exploring the city.

Starting from Daunt Square in the city centre, choose from four excellent self-guided walking tours to gain insiders view of our city, including interesting facts about the locations on your route. These walks take 1-1.5 hours to complete, but stop off, take your time, amble at your leisure.  All four walks are accessible.

Cork Walks - City Island; Cork Walks - Shandon; Cork Walks - South ParishCork Walks - University

In terms of distance & challenge level, the walks are approx as follows:

  • Shandon Walk - 2 km- Hilly, North of the river
  • South Parish Walk - 2.3km- Hilly, by St. Finn Barre’s Cathedral/ Elizabeth Fort
  • City Centre Island - 2.5km- Fairly flat
  • University Walk - 4km- Fairly flat except a short distance in UCC grounds
